El Valle del Jerte is placed in the spurs of Gredos Mountains. It is a zone of an impressive value in the landscape. The principal route of the region is the N-110, which joins Plasencia (the capital-city of this region) with Avila, across Tornavacas Port, from where we can admire the impressive vision of the valley.

What it really awards personality to this zone is a tree: The cherry-tree. Such it is the number of cherry-trees that when they are flowering they provoke panoramic of authentic ecstasy in all its visitors. In April, when the snow of the mountain starts disappearing, the immaculate white of the flowers of the cherry-tree floods the hillsides of the valley producing a floral spectacle that it is difficult to forget for the visitor.

El Valle del Jerte offers the meeting among the visitors and the nature in its pures and cleaner state. Its innumerable gorges, its green landscape, its thick forest and its cultural wealth do of this zone one of the most attractive landscapes of the Iberian Peninsula.
